Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Global Positioning System (GPS), Spatial Analysis (SA), and Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS) combine as Geo-Informatics. It has shifted the paradigm of locational investigations, services, and decision-making towards an integrated platform of GIS. It has become a standard tool for the collection and analysis of geographical and ancillary data. 

MAPTech has been involved with the study, design, development, and implementation of Geographic Information Systems for many years. We are experienced in training and implementation of Geo-Informatics solutions at the enterprise level within an organization infrastructure, where the framework for the hardware, software, data requirements, and web-based application development is detailed. Our understanding of data requirements and ability to develop strategies for data acquisition and data conversion proves to be a valuable resource to our clients. 

Our collaborative research includes work on integrated technology, decision support systems, GIS, and applied spatial modeling. By combining the advantages of industry and academic practice we hope to supply high-quality research of use to both our clients in the private and public sector at national and international level.

MAPTech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various reputed universities including the Institute of Geographical Information Systems (IGIS), National University of Sciences and Technology – Islamabad, and Department of Geography, the University of Karachi for collaborating in Research and Development Projects and sharing the resources available at MAPTech and its collaborators to enhance mutual capacity.
