Brief info
Dr. Kazmi has been associated as a consultant with various international organizations such as World Bank, UNDP, ADB, FAO, Madrone Environmental Systems Inc., Levelton Engineering Ltd., Raasta Consultants, ECIL, and OCL, and has completed various projects in urban forestry, terrain stability mapping, predictive ecosystem, Master Plan and base mapping and environmental modeling. Teaching is a mission and passion for Dr. Kazmi and has 25 years of teaching experience to his credit both in Asian and North American Universities. He has produced 12 Ph.Ds. five M Phil and co-supervised a Post Doc. He has published extensively in journals of international repute in the area of his research interests such as the application of Geo-informatics in environmental modeling and disease ecology. He was the president of the Pakistan Geographical Association (PGA) from 2008-13, the largest body of Geographers in Pakistan, and an active member of the Association of American Geographers (AAG). Currently editor of five international Journals of North America and South-East Asia. Dr. Kazmi is a recipient of the most prestigious awards such as “Special Achievement in GIS” by ESRI, USA, “Best University Teacher Award” by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, and “Indus for All Ecology Award 2012” of WWF.
